Located at:College Square, Cuttack;a walk away from cuttack main station ask any one in Cuttack and they will tell the address.
The campus : Surrounded by a plerothra of bookshops.Very big takes 10 mins to reach the commerce block from the main gate.Shades of british architecture clearly visible.
The Faculty: Great in patches and they love their state because they hardly speak in english.
The Infrastructure: Dilapidated Structure. The auditorium may break down any moment same is the case with the class rooms in the arts block (what more can u expect from a building set up way back in 1876).The only saving grace is the commerce block .Has a huge playground, a dark gym , four hostels &two big but ill maintained libraries.
The Crowd : Pucca oriya with a mumbayya attitude.Commerce studs are no where to be found coz they don’t have any time.There are also verns (infact too many) usually found in library or newly opened Student Information Bureau(SIB).
College timings: For commerce studnts is 7.30-10.30 but for others the fun begins aftr 10.30.Bechare Commerce students.
The Canteen: The canteenwallah is popular among the fairer sex for his dashing looks.The menu isn’t paricularly large but the food is good and affordable but the students regularly crib about the space constraints in the canteen.
For actual pet pooja :There’s Khana Khazana for veggies(read marwaris ), Cuttack Sweets Stall for sweetaholics&many non-veg resturants for the rest.
The Hang outs : Khana Khazana(only couples), Book Depot#$%*!, Samrat Hall(for films) or else under the trees.
The festival scene : Only the annual dramas and a couple of plays .Lots of elocution and debate competitions eat up all he resources.Furthermore the planning forum and SIB hold a number of uninspiring&boring seminars on career planning.
Recent News: It will shortly be converted into an unitary University under the name of Ravenshaw Collegiate University&.UGC has declared it as a centre with potential for excellence.So it’ll be getting a whopping 2 crore grant from UGC.
