Hello friends. Today I shall narrate you my experience about my stay in V Hotel Lavender in Singapore. I visited Singapore in October’ 2011 as a part of my trip to Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore with Dolphin Travels, Kolkata. I stayed in V hotel in Singapore in vicinity to the monorail station. However, the stay experience was worst. They had dull & serious faced staff at the reception. They didn’t even care to smile or greet us on our admission to the hotel. The punch card used as room key was not functioning properly and had to be given to the receptionists frequently to regain it’s functionality. The most bitter experience I had was that, at one point of time by mistake I forgot my room key inside the room itself and locked the door from outside while leaving the room for an evening stroll through the streets of Singapore. On returning to the hotel, I realized my mistake and informed the receptionist on duty about my problem. He agreed to unlock my room with duplicate key after much request but, intimated me sternly that I would have to pay Singapore$20 next time I repeated the same mistake. The way he communicated to me was very rude and embarrassing. Luckily my stay in this hotel was scheduled only for around a couple of days and the next day itself I left for Changi Airport in order to return back to Kolkata.
So friends, I shall suggest you to avoid this hotel if you are planning to visit Singapore in near future. I feel that, there are better hotels available in Singapore but definitely do not opt for this one.
