Vaah- Picture kabhi Na Ho Aisa!

Mahesh Manjrekar has always been known for making sensible cinema and have given some wonderful movies like Vaastav, Viruddh and to think that this movie would be in the same league is like living in fool’s paradise.

I also watched Dosti ( in a pirated VCD ..sorry folks I did not have the guts to see this movie in a theatre and I did not know that I was seeing this movie as I started seeing only midway and don’t have anything to say but sad).

Let me give you my ten pointer on this movie and you readers decide whether to go for this movie or not?

Here we go

  1. All the directors die for a dream cast and this movie has a good cast too with the likes of Shahid Kapoor, Sanjay “Mahesh Manjrekar’s favorite” Dutt, Amrita “ever sweet”rao and Prem “must retire now”chopra in the lead roles.

  2. Some (not all) of the songs composed by Himesh Reshammiya seem to go along well with the film and are quite hummable.

  3. Amrita Rao looks cute as always and I think it is time she starts signing some good scripts and do the thinking process right away.

  4. Shahid!! You dance like a dream I must say. But learn some acting too and just don’t keep on smiling, as even the girls would get bored after some point of time.

  5. Sanjay Dutt looks cool and I want to ask Mr. Mahesh as to who designed the outfits for him. Those red, pink suits reminded me of the “yesteryear” Govinda!

Now for the real bad part

  1. Mr. Mahesh… for god’s sake start doing some thinking before you make a movie again and I respect you for having given us movies such as Vaastav and I loved your Viruddh. Serious movies are your forte. Why to move away? You already made a movie named “Padmashri Laloo Prasad Yadav” and that bombed in the box office to put it mildly.

  2. Script is the biggest drawback in the movie and repetitive stories would virtually stop the audience from entering the theatres. People come to see the movie and to relax. And not to listen to the same story being told again and again.

  3. Just forgot to mention Mr. Prem Chopra, sir you need a break and please do not come back into movies as we have seen you enough and that is it. Give the youngsters a chance and am sure they would do a better job than you.

  4. Graphics and some slick cinematography saves the day for this movie which otherwise would not have sustained the story one bit.

10.This pointer is just a reminder to all of you that this movie is worth a miss!

Mr. Mahesh, you need to put your thinking cap on and make a movie, which has been your hallmark. Sorry this time and better luck next time!
