Tale of a son who cherishes memories of his dad

Gautham vasudeva menon is back with a plot which is dedicated to the memories of his father ... with surya at the helm of affairs he means business... A slightly ordinary plot well narrated as a flashback of memories of his just lost father even as major surya gets news of his death continues on a rescue mission . Paired by simran to the older surya and the younger one gets paired with sameera reddy and ramya .. Music in the hands of Harris jeyaraj is a audo visual treat...

The plot is basically on the lines of the younger surya trying to recall all his memories of his ever so supporting dad of his at every stages of his life. Its an irony that almost all of us recall our strengths and relations only when we have lost them but eventually life still goes on... we manage to develop new strengths and relationships which keeps us going and thats the bottom line of vaarnam aiyaram....

The younger suryas love for Meghna on the first meet with her on the train is quiet entertaining. His valiant attempts to convince her to fall in love just before she leaves abroad , followed by the interview at the Visa office and to his search and the life of staying together in san fransico is all fresh and refreshing. The sudden change in events followed by remorse and the agony of separation surya comes top notch with his performance. His search for his own self at kashmir the capsule of retrieving the kid from the kidnappers are all fresh.

Eventually as he decides to take up to the army was well charted out and the entrance of priya played by ramya is quiet sedate but neverthless romantic.. The older suryas romance with simran too catches the eyes and its Surya Surya and Surya all the way well supported by the rest of the crew...

The story is a bit of a drag at times but then certain portions escpecially the way surya enhances the role of a drug rehablitation guy is outstanding and catches your hearts.. Sameera with her lovely smile is captivating and ramya comes out with a homely look adds to the contrastind personalties that the younger surya comes across in life...

Simrans outrage at the hospital when the older surya is diagonsed with throat cancer is just perfect and it would definitely turn many minds who are looking out for there husbands to stop smoking...

Harris jeyarajs music is a audio visual treat and the songs are just awesome is a big bonus as far as the promo of the film is concerned

On the whole the movie is not for the masses but for a matured mind neverthless people who want to search there father in the movie to relate would love watching the film but I would still feel its worth the watch ...
