The movie is based on the Mumbai underworld. Raghu (Sanjay Dutt) lives in a chawl with his parents and his brother Vijay (Mohnish Behl). Raghu is not interested in studies and always hangs out with his friends. Raghu requests his father to lend him money to open up a pav-bhaaji stall that he’ll run with his friends. His father agrees, and Raghu starts selling Pav-Bhaji. One day Raghu incidently kills the don’s brother, bcuz he was not ready to pay him for his pav-bhaji . Then the remaining movie is how he becomes don of Mumbai and is utilise by Ministers for their own benefit,

I will not reveal the end as it something you would like to see on screen.

Regarding the cast performance this is probably the best role Sanjay Dutt has done after getting out from jail. He rightly deserves the FilmFare award, which he got in actor’s category. The role seems to be tailor made for him as the don of mumbai

Paresh Rawal is in a guest appearance as a broker who settles disputes between two rival gangsters has given good performance. Sanjay Narvekar (Dedfutia, Ragu’s best friend) is pretty good. Vaastav is different than all the films, which are being made nowadays

In short Vaastav has a strong storyline, excellent direction and good performances from every actors, and most importantly Our Sanjay Dutts as the don of Mumbai,

If you have not seen it better see it soon.

A Must for Sanjay Dutt’s Fan.
