The movie was released today( April 20th)
I just stepped out of the cinema in my town. Before seeing this movie, I have read previous review that graded this movie only "C" and "C+". Sorry Sorry Sorry to Nimród Antal, the Hungary American director. Now, I think I grade it " C+" too because it should be more horror and more scene of actions. In short, it reflect the American’ self image that even they are rude but they’re still very smart.
However, this is a sick society because there are people who are willing to pay to see the real killing video tape. Another thing is American always feel unsecured.!
After 911, I think the Media frames people’s perception that everything that is alien is dangerous.
You know, the imam was off-loaded from the plane just because they prayed before boarding. However, the imam sue the airline for discrimination.
Oh my God, the movie is filmed in California where I am living! I can’t imagine how the crime could happen in reality. The movie started when the tiring couple has to make a stop in the motel when their car was dead in the middle of the road because the guy suddenly breaks the car to avoid hitting the raccoon.
I think this couple is getting divorce as I assume that his child was dead, and they got depressed.
When they step into the motel they hear people screaming behind the door, then the manager show up. When they got into the room they hear stange noise.
Then, the man went back to see manager again to let him know that something weird happens. When he get back to his home. He found the video showing the scene of killing and he notice that he was in the same room of that murder with the hidden camera in the room. Then, the couple tried to escape.
The man tried to call the police. But when the police came, the manager guy killed him.
The sweet husband( Luke Wilson) found the way in tunnel in the basement, so they could go down the manager room. The husband was knocked down by three bad guys and the wife got to the car and hit 2 bad guy and shot dead the motel manager. it’s a little of romance and women right when a couple has to be in trouble together, I just call my sweetie to say we could affection more when we have to protect somebody. For women issue, it didn’t jump up too quickly that women have to be protected by men but in the emergency situation, women could protect their husbands as well.
