Vaishali

Its a typical herd mentality to do what everyone else does. So if everyone and their mother in l aw praises Vaishali then everyone else does too..... Jeez....wake up guys and girls!

Lemme tell you why Vaishali sucks....

1. Too crowded. Getting a seat or even standing in the damn hallway to wait for one is next to impossible.

   
   




2. The food is average. Trust me, I have been places that serve Udipi food...and there is nothing out of the ordinary about this place. And no SPDP wasnt INVENTED in Vaishali and is not really the best place to eat it either.

   
   




3. Customer service....whats that? The waiters know that you WILL wait cos you WANT to be there more than THEY want you to be there....If no you..someone else from the herd will quickly replace you...

   
   

4.This is the most annoying thing ...People stand behind you or keep eyeing your table ..Its almost like they are hoping that you will wat fast get up if they stare at you long enough...What the hell ?

Alright..with that out of the way, lets see the good side ( if any )...

1. If you care to hang out OUTSIDE Vaishali...you will see enough hot chicks and guys ( whoever you are attracted to )...

   
   




2. In the old days ...when Pune was a sleepy town and really green...Vaishali was probably a little ’’upscale’’ place that the youngsters ( now they are in their 50s or 60s ) would go to...It wasnt as crowded as then, and even the phenomena of eating out was as green as the trees in Pune..... So those people still love going to Vaishali...not for the food ...not for the service...but for old times sake...to refresh those memories....

   
   

I am sure most of you disagree cos Vaishali is like a Landmark to Puneites and the Fregusson and BMCC visit Vaishali with more faith that the pujari visits Dagdusheth Halwai Ganapati everyday!

But hey, as I said...its all about the herd mentality...If tattoos are in, they the ’’herd’’ will get tattoos without really thinking about it....This is the same way.....

Best thing to do is to hang out at Coffee Day or Barista diagonally accross from Vaishali....not too far...but FAR more pleasant....
