At the first time I visited vaishnodevi, it was beautiful but was crowded with the devotees of the god . Everyone over there was either on their way to climb up the hill to the goddess’s temple or were returning back from the temple . It was cold over there from the beginning. To climb up to the main temple, there were transports such as helicopter, horses and sedans and to help the people reach on the hill where the temple is present . But if you want to burn calories, you can purchase a long bamboo stick to walk on the path all the way up . I took the ride of a horse to reach up . It was very amazing . The path was sometime bumpy and sometimes smooth . I even saw the helicopter going upon me towards the helipad . On the way, there were stalls, medical services and some small temples . As you went higher, the fog density also kept increasing . The fog went denser and denser . Although there were some places were there was no fog at all and you could see the rivers and beauty of the goddess’s house . It even started raining sometimes . To stay protected, there are also shelters made for everyone . We stopped there for 20 mins or so and came on our path again . It was very tiring to sit on a horse for so much time . I felt sleepy then I found something interesting . Cute and fluffy monkeys . There were many of them, basically a whole generation if you looked at all . We went much more higher and I was able to see the clouds now . We were inside the clouds without an airplane! Soon we reached to the top . It was a tiring journey of 7 hrs to the top . There were also many stores and stalls up there . We took the blessings of the great godess and then begin the journey to the ground again . It was full of enjoyment along with getting exhausted . It took around 6-7 hours to reach below again . Still I was in the nature and nature’s hands are never empty to show you something interesting . So I recommend you to go there and come back at night exhausted to have a great sleep .
