On 22nd May 2010 we finally boarded our train from Delhi to Jammu Station. My dream (for the last ten years i’ve been trying :(:( )of visiting Vaishnodevi was finally being fulfilled and that too by a chance surfing on the net searching for train tickets to Jammu. suddenly a Tour package by Irctc popped up in a window and one click enabled us to fulfill our dreams. It was a package tour of 4 days and 3 nights which included confirmed to and fro tickets, pick up and drop to various points, 4 star hotel accommodation with meals.
All for a reasonable price. The offer was lucrative but I was skeptical if we would get the promised goods or not. So finally we boarded the train and left for destination MATA. it was an Unbelievable experience through and through. All the people who had booked for the package from IRCTC were booked on the same coach and a representative from IRCTC was present on the station leading them to their allocated seats. It was a smooth sailing from the word go... no confusions no hassles.
We were given a printed Itenary which had everything mentioned.(no hidden clauses!!!!). We reached Jammu Station and there was a pick up waiting for us to effort us to the Hotel. The Hotel was also very GOOD> Clean Rooms, Courteous staff and Prompt service. They even gave us an effort to guide us from banganga to the Bhawan !!!! The package included a sightseeing of jammu on the day of return to Raghunath Temple, Kol Kandauli Mandir and bagh e bahu gardens(BEAUTIFUL).
It was a pleasure to travel with IRCTC and our next Trip will be to Shirdi... keeping my fingers crossed!!!
