When I first bought the album, I was looking forward to hear the melodious songs of A.R Rahman. But I was a bit disappointed when I heard his version of Vande Mataram. It was much too loud and one would be left wondering what the noise was all about after hearing the song. But then again his reinvention of the old Vande Mataram with new tunes ie. the first song in the album is worth listening to. The music sort of flows to your ears and you are left wanting more. All in all the album is a strictly OK buy and nothing spectacular because when you are buying Rahmans albums you are looking for The Best! But sadly you cannot find that magic of his compositions in this album. So I would rate this as a good listening material for those who likes the old Vande Mataram with whole lot of noises thrown in between.
