This is my experience with Varsha Travels for Tirupati trip(Bangalore-Tirupati July -2009):
Booking:
Easy no problems faced. I even got it postponed twice to another week due to rush @ Tirupati.
Traveling(Bus):
It was(2x2) AC Volvo- Pretty ordinary. Bus seats were not clean, partially comfortable, no TV on-board . Drivers and support staff at bus were not cool but pretty rash in handling the customers. Few of guys had problem with seat allocation. If you ever want to book a ticket please please do confirm your seat number multiples times before boarding the bus as there may be issues and youll be getting back seats/ scattered seat allotment which will not be comfortable at all.
Facilities:
Food - Most horrible food youll get ever - They gave breakfast/Lunch @ Tirupati at hotel Srinath - This may be the worst hotel for food in Tirupati I feel. No other option to eat other than the fixed meals/breakfast. Even if you open your mouth to complain against the food it falls on deaf ears.
I felt cheated when I was having those hard Chapatis and very unhygienic Rice.
Guide - He was a good guide who managed our Darshan at Tirupathi.
Drivers/Staff behavior - 1out of 5 stars -hope that says it all. They never listened to their customers.
Time mangement - pretty Ordinary - nothing special - we had to stand for 3 hours in ticket queue and 3 hours again for Darshan at Tirupathi. Travelling time was fine from Bangalore- to-Tirupathi but while returning from Tirupathi they took too much time to get us back home.
Not at all recommended. Please book through AP tourism I feel they give better facilites than Varsha Travels .
