I traveled in Varsha travels from Bangalore to Vijayawada 2 times. When all the other buses and train tickets are booked ( not available for booking) then Varsha travels will come up with a special bus from from Bangalore to Vijayawada. The price can range any where between 1100 to 1600, where as most of the regular operators Kesineni, Kaleswari, Dhanunjaya etc charge some where around 800. Since no other bus or train tickets are available people tend to book this as it is available though the price is much higher.
Then starts your woes. They tell the bus is a Volvo A/C seater and it will start in around 8 PM and reach Vijayawada between 7 AM and 8AM. But the bus will not turn up till 9 PM or more.Then it starts around 9 30 or 10 PM. The condition of the bus is very worst. The seats are so bad that the push back will not work for some of them. There is no TV in the bus(both times I traveled in two different Buses). The A/C gives a big noise but very less cool air. I think the engine and other vitals of the bus are completely worn out.
Feeling on our bad luck that no TV is there and bus is not in condition you ll start the journey. Then after they break at some untidy restaurant for Tea/snax at midnight and every one is sleeping or drowsy the driver will switch off the A/C. He will switch on only when some passenger shouts that he is not feeling the air. This thief/Police game continues till morning. Then at 7 or 8 in the morning you ll wake up to from improper sleep to find that you are some where 3 hours to Vijayawada. I bet the bus will not reach before 10 30.
This travels is a big cheater Travels.They simply want to make money by running very old buses which are not at all comfortable at all. When weekend / Holiday rush is there they still increase the prices. This coming Dussera (Oct 15 they have put a bus at a price per ticket of 1555) from Bangalore to Vijayawada. When all the travels like Kesineni, Kaleswari, Dhanunjaya are filled completely VARSHA travels alone is remaining with not even a single seat filled as of today. You can understand by that so many people who have fallen victims of this travels are not willing to travel with them at all. But if you didnt get any ticket on other travels its always better to travel the next day. Please do not dare to Travel by this cheaters and pay up huge for very quality less journey.
I dont understand why red bus is encouraging this kind of cheating travels. I have decided not to book on red bus also.
