My dad lost his RIGHT EYE after the cataract operation performed in VASAN EYE HOSPITAL -Marathahalli. In my dad’s first day visit to hospital, they took all the required tests and told he is fine and can take up operation the next day itself. Next day, the operation was done and they told some treatment has to be given the next day. So 3rd day they took him to Rajajinagar Vasan Eye Hospital and they did some operation again.
Dad was experiencing more pain in his eye and was not able to see anything with his right eye, so on 4th day took him to Koramangala Vasan Hospital and the doctor has cut his eye and blood was bleeding in his eye. Dad was suffering so much in pain. THOSE DOCTORS are so cruel. After that they told tat dad lost his vision and there was infection in his eye. They gave him so many injections everyday in his eye and it was of no use.
After one week of terrible pain, we did a sugar test and the report said he had sugar and hence the infection in his eye never reduced. We took that report to Hospital and they also took sugar test and told he his fine and no sugar. The next day they asked us to give him insulin injection 3 times a day and also some sugar tablets. After taking these medicines for weeks, his infection reduced. Everyday we took him to hospital to check his eyes. Those days were sleepless nights for my dad and everyone at home. I never saw my dad slept anytime, he was experiencing so much pain.
They never provided us the report so that we could show it to any other hospital. When we took him to different eye care hospital, they refused to check my dad’s eye. With the help of our neighbor, dad was taken to another eye hospital. There the doctor did complete check on his eye and told that during operation, BP was high and blood has clotted in his eye and also the operation was not performed by an experienced doctor.
Now my dad is under treatment with one of the doctor in Vasan - Banaswadi. However the vision is gone. Just to give him the releif from pain and to position his eye properly, eye drops are given.
