I had booked my Himachal Trip for 14th May 2020. Its was a group tour. I can understand the crisis situation in the midst of this pandemic. They have taken the money to book this tour in the month of January 2020. It was already lying with them since long.and being a group tour, one can imagine the amount - specifically for this tour, which they are holding.
Now comes the real game. They are calling me and telling me that they will generate a credit note, so that I can avail the tour in upcoming year, however, I need to pay 5K transfer fee per person extra, I mean, for what sake? They will keep holding the money for another year, crores of i, .imagine the interest they are earning out of it, and asking every family to pay extra?
When I told them that I am OK to pay extra, however you need to prove that you have deposited the money towards hotel and flight bookings for THIS PARTICULAR tour and hence you would be facing the loss hence charging extra. I asked them for invoices, they dont have it, they don’t even have one single answer to it.
Ms. Angela Phoras, who was so keen during the time I was booking the tour, till the time I deposited the money in the account, does not even seem to bother to proactively reply or call. When I place a call, she tells me one answer since a month -’Our team will get back’, nobody ever got back.seems to be a team of GHOSTS to me!
At Guest Relations, they have some chap called Vikram answering the calls. Very smartly chosen, cant speak English and in a begging mode, unable to answer anything, keeps saying that even they are unsure of the status of these tours etc. etc.
Why the hell are they still in business? This COVID situation had put everyone in a crisis situation. People have lost jobs, might loose jobs, pay cut offs and dont know where it is going to take us. But these people do not budge. They have lots of customers money in their accounts and are milking this free cow for the interest they are earning, above that, charging extra to the customers, so more money in their pockets. The perfect attitude showcasing -’Ye ab kaha jayega’.as the customer is now bound to them.
