Diwali Bonanza by yash chopra : Veer - Zaara - a unusal love story shows a unparallel love story between two community in two nations. This movie reflects the intensity of love between two souls which is unmatched in this materialistic world.
The movie starts in flashback where shahraukh khan is in jail from past 22 yrs and lawyer samiya siddiqui ( rani mukarjee) is listening his life tale in jail.
The movie moves around sq leader veer pratap singh from punjab , India and Zara ayad khan from pakistan. Veer pratap singh is sharakh khan and zara is played by preity zinta which gave their best performance.
Zara comes to punjab to gave up the remaining of her bebe (grand mother ) who comes to pakistan after partition. This was her last wish and zara promises her to fulfil that .
When zara comes to india she meet with an accident and she was rescued by sq leader veer pratap singh of indian air force n during this he fall in love with her. After performing all ritual performances veer invited her to see his village for one day and she agrees to do so. In veer’s village , zara meets with veer’s father (amithabh bachan)and mother (hema malini ).
Zara enjoyed a lot n reliases that she is also in love with veer but couldn’t show as she was engaged with raza (manoj bajbai) and she came back to pakistan but when srk heard of her marriage , he resigns from his job n went to pakistan where he was traped in as zara’s was politician and was arrested in false alligation of spy. He spends 22 yrs in jail just not to reveal zara’s parents name as this can ruined her life.
Later case was handed to rani mukerjee and in the end she won case and both veer zara meet together happily. music is execellent by late madan mohan n lata mangeshkar sung those melodies beautifully. My verdict --- 5 mirchissss. A beautiful movie by matured film maker .
