Hi guys
Listened to VEER ZAARA a dozen times and finally came to a conclusion..........the hype here is more than the ’’ MUSIC ’’.........I agree that this album has some very melodious songs............but what about the rest.They simply are plain dull stuff. The songs certainly have some melody but most of it is ruined by the poor percussion and poor singing (like in the case of MAIN YAHAN HOON).
The title track TERE LIYE starts of very well but soon loses out...it just doesnt reach where it should have........
Sonu nigam sounds really good in DO pal and the song is good too....... SONU Nigam has 2 very good tracks in this album........
It really is a feat by LATA ji to sing at such an age but is that what you want in a movie album where the vocals should echo the characters.........tht is, in this album we hav the story of 2 young people and it is difficult for me to digest the fact that lata ji is still made to sing all this...........Just listen to this album and you will find out that she is really trying hard to sound young and also finding it difficult to carry certain parts of some songs...............
YE HUM AA GAYE HAIN is the track I love the most.....simply for its melody........and on the whole I just dont know.................. Was the name MADAN MOHAN used as part of a marketing gimmick to simply sell out the genius’s unused songs which even he felt were not good enough to be used during his time............this is just a question..........and that too a personal one.........
Overall this album has got some of the finest melodies heard this year but is this a classic............not anywhere near (according to me)............just listen and judge for yourself..............
ANYWAYS iam going to wait for SWADES because the promos suggests something totally different........and I feel AR RAHMAN---ASHUTOSH wont let me down!!!!!!!
