Am not much of a fan of waxing and the prospect of going to a parlor terrorizes me. I have super sensitive skin which breaks out in to big red angry bumps and rash which will last for a whole day. This is over and above the agony of having extremely hot wax poured on you while you shudder and try to be brave and sit still. Once it’s all over I still have to contend with bits that the parlor lady has missed. I much prefer shaving for all these reasons – it’s clean, quick & no waiting period is required. The only down side is the stubble that grows back which you need to regularly remove to be smooth and the possibility of nicks and cuts when you are in a hurry.
I saw Veet Hair removal strips for Sensitive skin at a local grocery store and decided to give it a try as I was going on a week long trip abroad and wanted nice smooth skin which I didn’t want to have to shave while on holiday.
It comes in a pack of 4 strips(double sided so that’s 8 strips) with a finishing oil for when you are done waxing. It’s really simple. Just dust the area with powder before hand, rub the strip between your hand properly to heat, peel the strip and slap the strip on like your local parlor would do and yank in the opposite direction. Repeat till it’s all gone. It also gets the really short hairs as well! Rub the area with finishing oil. Voila! Smooth soft skin! It was painless & hardly took me any time. No hot oil, no mess and all in the privacy of your own home. It works out cheaper too. I had a few rashes but they went in 2 hrs and I was hair free for over a month after use. Even the re growth was soft and diminished. It costs around 60-70Rs for 1 packet.
I highly recommend this over the hot wax at the parlor & shaving! It’s really fantastic. try it! You can thank me later!
