I had worked there for a short period. At that point, I found that it was difficult to survive if you did not agree with the Chairmans view point. In fact, on the very second day, I saw a professor who had worked there for more than 5 years getting sacked in a joint meeting with the students and staff.
The reason for sacking was not connected to the teaching or the delivery but on a trivial issue where he expressed an opinion which was different from that of the chairman. After seeing that incident, I left the institute on my own and went to other places. May be things have improved now or who knows!
