I am a velai illa pattathari myself and so I know how the movie would be.
As I watch the movie some days later, I already almost came to know about the plot from friends and they all said the movie is Superb.
So, I and my family(my mom and bro) went to watch this movie at Luxe, Chennai.
Oh my god, every single second, totally un-explainable. Wow, such a awesome movie and it was more enthusiastic for me because I am currently in that situation - JOBLESS.
And almost every single situation, in that movie is same, I come across almost every day of my hellish life. My younger brother, is working, So he didn’t enjoy the movie becoz that’s natural as he got to finishing college.
I would have watched at-least over 5 times, till now and its still amazing.
PROS -
1) Superb plot, True and real time execution of every single frame. Excellent work by each and every single of the crew.
2) Awesome Soundtrack. Anirudh, you have a great future ahead Kid. Loved almost all songs. Velaiyilla Pattathari, What a Karuvad & Ey Inga Paaru are my Favorites.
3) Awesome acting by all the actors. Including the debutante Amitash.
4) Not only Amitash, but the Debutante director Velraj has done a excellent job. Good luck mr.Velraj.
5) First half was full of Comedy and love and second half is full of professionalism. And both part wer equal as great.
Overall, the movie is most with Pros. But only a very few are Cons, referred to as mistakes and inappropriate data given below.
CONS(only marked as logical mistakes and inappropriate datas) -
1) Danush Joins an BPO for Rs.50k per month. I want to know which BPO in Chennai offers job for 50K?
2) Amala’s father earns 1lakh PM and amala earns 2lakhs PM. They r earning over 30L per yr, then y living in a rented house?
3) Wen Raghu(Dhanush) walks out of Arun’s Company after an interview and he gets distressed & Throws odd his Certificates. At the same time Amala comes in riding her civic car in the traffic and stops in middle of traffic and looks at Raghu and then Calls raghu on phone right there! In the centre of Road, in traffic, in car and calling someone.! Come on. Is that Amala’s Road or wat!
4) Again(the same as above), It is shown that Dhanush’s Brother karthik is earning 30K PM. He purchases a Car later on, but why cant he buy a bike b4, where he is shown as been dropped by Dhanush prior to buying the car?
5) Dhanush is a Civil Engineer, a member of VIP group in Facebook, talk about prices of Engineering Seat and all. But does not know the price of Iphone? In 2014? WTH.
6) Dhanush joins a job under token of his gratitude for saving Anitha’s Life(I wish that could happen to me). Within few month Dhanush is given a huge Govt project worth in Crores? Does this really happen? (This is Real genuine question to all). May be. May be not. Only Fictional. Ho.
Some of the Real time Scene I across by self -
1) At the beginning of the Ey Inga Paaru song, Dhanush is sent to buy chicken. But he gets angry on Karthik and says "Y u never send Karthik to buy the meat?". This happens to me very often.
2) Comparing the brothers! Its been happening generations together. Even today. For me too.
And a lot others.
VERDICT - VIP is truly VIP. I hope things changes in a positive way for Graduates and Engineers like me. There should a better verdict for us soon. Thank u Dhanush & team.
