Today I wish to share my review on the movie named velaikkaran released on 22nd december 2017 directed by mohanraja through 24Am studios.
Invovements of starrings sivakarthikeyan, fahadh faasil, nayanthara, rj.balaji, prakash raj, sneha, vijay vasanth, mansoorali khan are of good numbers.
If we see the story this movie at the period of british rulings there was a place named kulikarakuppam at chennai, india but now that place got name as kolakaran kuppam. Our hero belongs to the same place at this movie.
Reason to get that name kolakaran kuppam for that place is because there lived a dadha big rowdy for his selfishness he utilises the teenagers of that place for his murders & kataipanchayat as a koolipadai. The word koolipadai is nothing but the workers who kills others by the order of dadha.
Our hero sees these things & hates dadha. Hero wishes to save teenagers of that place to convert into a working employee according there graduations on coorporate company by living well settled life.
At a certain stage hero comes to realise a truth that even working in a coorporated company is indirectly viceversa of koolipadai. Where in koolipadai means killing a person directly and in case of coorporate company job he as a hero needs to sell/market products mixed with lots of chemicals to the consumer peoples. Which is itself killing a person indirectly which according to him was wrong.
Hero thinks how to change motive of all coorporate company and make a good product in all company according to the govt ratio of chemicals which is harmless to the consumer. He thinks from where he has to start his steps to make changes. Whether from management level or to the consumer. Then he chooses workers if they are correct in deir duty on following govt restricted level chemicals to make a food product then everything will gets changed and consumer can get good products.
After this what happens that is the whole story of this movie. What we all should know maily in this social society is taken as a single movie.
In first half, the director has taken very great effirt to show us how we all peoples are strucked without our own knowledge in the net of this coorporate world.
It is very nicely explained with an example of supermarket how the coorporate company plays a vital role to make us buy their product. Similarly the home delivery executive for stabilizer issue is dealed very narrowly which makes the movie a special highlight. At this stage the dialogue used, social problems discussed are very nice.
But the main negative of this movie which the director missed out was actually the concept to resolve this issue was very silly and childish which is really a big failure for audiance because if you see in india, it has several huge percentage of graduates passes out with a degree without getting placed in a job right ? Then I dont know how director expected that audiance all are generally working in coorporate world can support this movie because in india maximum peoples are of middle class struggling really to come up in life. So they are all running to get placed in coorporate company for their financial growth. According to director view it is not all possible to oppose the coorporate managers and work our own in their company as there are lots of surveilance cameras all over company and lots of employer rules.
So this movie concept is practically not possible at all.
This movie is like a stage drama only because within one scene , new managing director for that company takes charge, next scence thier goes suddenlt a ride on company products, next scene their goes the new managing director of comapny arrest, next scene their goes suddenly a fire accident, next scene their goes suddenly a new CEO’s appointment instanly to that company. Do you think is it possible ? My answer is no not at all.
These all scenes , in my perspective as an audiance it was like a stage drama but atleast in drama they change the background but here in this movie they are doing all scenes on the same spot which is really a bad unbelievable concept accross the whole hall of screen.
Apart from this, audiance has their own expectation for actor sivakarthikeyan related to his performance maily on comedy, dance, fight & song but in this movie nothing was there to show his performance.
So veleikkaran as a worker concept is total failure. It would have been better if director would have chosen to discuss some other strong solution to break the net of coorporate world.
Overall the movie is a one time watch movie according to my feel after watching this movie.
