Saw this movie today, on its 1st show. I was a big fan of dhanush from vip 1st part. This movie to be frank was not as good as the first one. But this was a complete sequal to thr first part. I was satisfied with raghuvarans charecter in this movie. The story is somewhat same to the previous part. Amala paul is given good importance. Samuthrakani’s role was awsome, in this movie he portraid the charecter of an ideal father. He is a very loving father in it, and keeps motivating his son under all his problamatic situation. Saranya( raghuvarans mom) has done a cameo role in it.
Cons:
1) The story is not very catchy as the previous one.
2) The action scenes are very dramatic and emotional scenes doesnt melt our heart.
3) They replaced surbi’s charecter with a new actor, whose acting was not upto expectations.
4) The music director of the music was changed, sean roldens music was good, but not as good as anirudhs music in 1st part.
PROS:
1) Dhanush acting is outstanding, along with samuthrakani, amala paul, and kajol.
2) Its good to watch raghuvaran back in screen with his determination to win his goal with heart and soul .
As a commoner I would suggest u to give a try to this movie, its really entertaining and above all kajol has acted in south indian movie after a long gap of 12 years.
