Venice is a place in Italy, and one of the most talked about places in the world to visit with your loved ones. Like all, I was too very eager on visiting the place until I actually visited. My perception of Venice completely changed. We visited Venice in March 2017 as one of our honeymoon destinations.
Reaching Venice was easy. We had hired a car from Rome and drove all the way to Italy. The place is no less than a sheer disappointment. The people there were not at the best of their behavior either. We had gone for a hotel by the main river that flows across Venice. Entire stretch of that water stunk to another level. Not only was the water extremely dirty, the sides of the canal was filled with Fungus growth which was not a very good sight. We thought maybe its this part of the canal. However, after we took the Gondola ride, we realised the entire stretch is like that. To add on to this, the moisture level in our rooms was more than 50%.
It was a huge disappointment as I had heard so much about Venice. Would not recomment this place at least for honeymoon destination. There are much more prettier places on Earth and many in India as well.
