Okay, so I just got back from seeing "Venom: The Last Dance, " and honestly, my brain is still trying to catch up with everything that just happened. As a long-time fan of these movies, I went in with pretty high expectations, and for the most part, I think it delivered a really satisfying conclusion to Eddie and Venoms story.
The action was definitely a highlight. There were moments where I was just gripping my armrest, completely absorbed in what was happening on screen. Venoms fight scenes were brutal and inventive, and seeing him face off against those creepy alien things was intense. You could really feel the stakes getting higher and higher.
What Ive always loved about these movies is the relationship between Eddie and Venom, and Tom Hardy nails it again. He manages to make their internal conversations funny and surprisingly touching. Theyve built this weird, co-dependent friendship, and you genuinely root for them. There were definitely moments in this movie that hit harder emotionally than I expected – especially considering its a movie about a guy with an alien symbiote!
The new characters were interesting too. Chiwetel Ejiofor played a pretty compelling bad guy, someone you could actually understand even if you didnt agree with his methods. And Juno Temples character added a fresh dynamic to Eddie and Venoms world.
If I had to be super critical, Id say maybe some of the side plots felt a little underdeveloped. There were a few characters I wished wed gotten to know a bit better. But honestly, that didnt take away too much from the overall experience.
For me, "Venom: The Last Dance" felt like a proper send-off to these characters. It had the action, the humor, and surprisingly, a good amount of heart. If youve enjoyed the previous Venom movies, I think youll find this one to be a really satisfying end to their journey. Definitely worth checking out in theaters.
My honest take: A solid 4 out of 5. It stuck the landing for Eddie and Venom.
