Vettai aadum Vijay - after villu-vijays previous film which dissatisfied the universal audiences, vijay after a long gap now has come back with a new chapter(VETTAIKARAN). Well though it is a new movie it no way differs from his previous movies.
Well yes once again vijay’s fate continues, which means that there are some usuall things which he does in most of his movies like jumping like a superman from a loftiest waterfall with only a few wounds on his body.Well that really must be avoided in his forth coming movies. If he does not stop this, his good name in tamil industry will go off soon. Yelling with punch dialogues and flying reverse sans gravity effects in stunt sequences.
Vettaikaran is a perfect mix of vijays previous movies Tirupatchi and Bhagavathy. The film is avout Ravi(vijay) who is in tuticorin, whose aims to become an IPS officer Devaraj. After passing his 12th std exams after 4 attempts he comes to Chennai with a big dream of completing his graduation and becoming a cop. When he comes to chennai on his way he meets Susheela(Anushka) and falls in love with her in the first sight.
After joining a college in chennai he hires an auto from his classmate’s father for his survival in the city. When he go to meet his role model Devraj IPS at his house he comes to know that he is been transfered to delhi ...which is not true . mean while he comes in for a combat with a local goon "chella", who takes care of his father Vedanayagam’s( Main Villan) illegal business. What follows next is the main story.
There are punch dialogues which stand as a base to favour his fans and the poor and uneducated peole. At the next half he comes to know where his role model officer is , he is in the same place but he is un known to any one and finally there is a flashback of the honest officer Devaraj IPS , the villain had ruined his life by killing his wife and child for interfering in his business. Thus he also sprays acid in Devaraj’s eyes and makes him blind.
And then in between, one forgets about the heroin and she comes in the middle and in songs to give the main yell there. There are also good action scenes which are expected in all his movies. As usual he dances well and makes the audience happy and satisfied. Then at times he comes to meet the main villain and gives a boo to his rowdies but there is full of action time in the last hour. And finally he kills his son the local goon in the city. With that the mainvillain enters politics, than he becomes more strong to defeat our hero.
Finally with the helpof his role model officer he becomes a detetive and collects all details about the villain and the thus that is how the movie goes. Finally how he over comes the villain and defeats him is the climax.
Cinematography isn’t impresive and ediing is mediocre .Finally Sun Pictures vivid promotions may turn this HIT film into a MEGA HIT film.

Though this movie has some thing in it, and asusual in Vijay’s movies he gives a final message which is also seen in this movie. The songs can be rated as excellent. And the costumes of Vijay are also pretty good and the movie lacks comedy which is a must in all movies to be rated as an excellent movie.
In times Vijay will be doing his 50th film which is said to have the tiitle MGR. And hope his 50th film comes out like GHILLI AND POKIRI which were two excellent movies which still people remember. This movie did not pay much response to his fans as expected but obviously this one will be among the top 10 movies of the year 2009.
Though Vijay remains the mosted rated actor in the tamil industry after Rajin Ganth and Kamal Hasan, he must do different stuffs in his forth coming movies.
