I booked a bus through via.com (flightraja.com is now via.com - both sites are the same.) to a trip from Delhi to Pathankot in early June this year. We had a horrible experience where the bus operator which was listed in the site first made us wait at one location then called us to another location saying the tickets in our bus had already been sold 2-3 days ago !!.
When we confronted him on phone that weve confirmed booking he said hed do us a favor and let us go on another diff. type of bus at 300 bucks extra per head (which was a seater instead of sleeper earlier booked). On understanding he was trying to fleece us we called up via customer support and explained whole situation to a person lokesh there in Flightrajas cust. support.
On reaching the tour operators area we asked lokesh to call him up and wed not want to use this guys service if we can get a refund as he is dishonest. Lokesh spoke to him and promptly agreed to issue us a refund with verbal commitment saying you go a different bus if you have and well refund u your online booking in full.
On taking assurance I proceeded on a separate bus. During my trip I emailed flightraja asking for initiating the refund and they plainly refused saying operator was claiming a NO show. On confronting this Mr. Lokesh on phone again he agreed hed committed a refund but now has to go by what operator says. So clearly this companys employees lie and their commitment has no value. Due to their volte face on refunding our money, our trips last leg was spoilt. Subsequent emails explaining issue have resulted in no reply including a registered letter. Were now taking the company to consumer court. Please try and avoid such an experience weve had and only book tickets with reputed online service providers.
