This review is specific to the Horamavu branch and is one without any intended prejudice to the institution. This school has proved itself even to the most grudging critic in terms of providing assurances with concrete practices which will bolster confidence in the years to come.
Every child has unique needs in terms of education and raising awareness regarding his /her immediate surroundings. This school tries to still address that as the student teacher ratio is still sane unlike many others in the city. We know how important this is to us where both of us are working parents.
In the aftermath of an incident of child abuse in a different branch, the school has not only followed on recommendations of the Parents body but also provided with an increased number of CCtVs, female staff on every floor, Keep track solutions intimating parents of their ward’s arrival and departure and above all a very sane program on good and bad touch.
If I look at the hands on method adopted in teaching, I am sure how many of us will appreciate their wards learning and demonstrating their learning to parents as a class section on what they have been taught at the end of a calendar quarter as a stage program and small excursions which are relevant to studies.
Educational institutions by nature do not advertise as aggressively as a bar of toilet soap and it is easy to find faults.But the fact that they keep on trying to bring out the best is felt.
It is not always easy to take for granted that there is a bunch of staff along with the principal or the vice principal welcoming your ward at school every day.
I do not say that the teachers are absolutely the best that could exist but if I see that my child relates to them and I can relate to what is being taught and the way it is being taught, my investments are secure as an immigrant to this city.
