Fine movie

Artist: Huma Qureshi, Manish Dayal, Om Puri, Michael Gambon, Jillian Anderson, Hugh Bonneville

Director: Gurinder Chadha

Movie Type: Biography

Duration: 1 hour 53 minutes

The film’s trailer before the film’s release became viral in the time of social media, the film Lady Manutbetn and speculation about the relationship between the prime minister Jwahr Lal Nehru, the country’s first become warmer. Perhaps the reason for this is that before releasing this film in India, director Girinder Chadha, director of the film, came to the media on several major centers and rejected these speculations altogether.

In response to a question, Gurinder said, "My film is not based on the relationship between India’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and Lady Mountbatten." Actually, the story of this film reflects the era of Lord Mountbatten, the last Viceroy who came to India from Britain. Gurinder took a lot of time to make this film. After completing homework on each scene of the film, he came to India and started working on this project only after having long conversations with several historians.

When you sit down to watch this movie for about two hours, till the last scene of the film, you remain tied with the story and the characters. Here especially Chadha has worked hard to empower the character of Mountbatten. Actually today’s young generation knows little about Lord Montoutten. Apart from this, the young generation is not even aware about the circumstances in which the country was liberated. In such a situation, Chadha has made Love Story a part of the film to make the story of this movie lightly and to bind every class of the audience to the characters.

Story Plot: The film begins with the last few days of British rule, when the British Government sends Lord Mountbatten to India. Actually, this government wanted that freedom should be granted only after dividing India into two parts. Where Mountbatten had to stop the conflict between Hindus and Muslims before partition, at the same time he had to face the confrontation between Jinnah and Congress leader of the Muslim League leader Jawaharlal Nehru at that time. The last Viceroy did not want to personally divide India into two parts. Along with that, there is a love story of Alia(Huma Qureshi) and Vijay(Manish Dayal). They both belong to different religions and love each other a lot, both work in Viceroy’s office. Things become such that both have to be separated after the partition of the country.

In the days before the split in the film, the director and the situation in the Wirehaired House were presented in a positive manner. Gurinder Chadha will have to appreciate that he has fitted songs in such a way that they have become an important part of the story. Om Puri has also played an important role in the film. This is the first international film of Huma Qureshi. In the role of Aliya, Huma has done a great acting. Prior to being released in India, the film was presented with the title’Viceroy House’ in the 67th Berlin International Film Festival. The music of the film is A.R. Rahman has given Rahman’s music completely fit on the film’s atmosphere. If you want to know about Mountbatten as well as the situation behind the Indo-Pak partition, then definitely watch this movie once.
