My other A.C. is bluestar. So, this is my reference point for rating videocon a.c.
The videocon A.C. makes hell of a noise. Moreover, it doesn’t display the room temperature and displayes only set temperature. Even the temperature control is faulty since it’ll run for the same amount of time whether you set 18 degree or 28 degree as room temperature.
Another shock is that if you set temperature as 24 and power goes off and on, the temperature is always reset to 18 degree. I complained to service centre but they say that it is the’normal’ behaviour. Anyway, as I said earlier, the set temperature is useless in videocon a.c. With such poor quality products, I wonder how Vidoecon calls itself an Indian’MNC’!
I think it’s better to go with an aircooler rather than a videocon a.c.

Late development - Videocon service guys had to change the PCB after I insisted on’set temperature’ feature that I found working in my neighbour’s Videocon AC. But my recommendation on videocon AC is remains unchanged - its too noisy with uneven cooling.
