Bought a 271 few days back. A few notes-
My parents bought a Alwyn(165 l) about 24-25 years back. It was the actual 165 litres. When I went to buy a new one now, a 225 l (lg, videocon, samsung..) would be comparable to the 165 l Alwyn.
I’ve heard about complaints of lg shafting buyers by 12-15 % on the size of their refrigerators but was not sure about other companies. If you’ve got a 165 l refrigerator, and plan on going for a double door, then go for one that is around >=300 l .
In the two door models, quite a bit of the space is taken up by the freezer section. so the actual space below might not be as much as you’d expect. And the vegetable bin is larger than in the older refrigerators.. so the space in between is just a lil bit more than the old Alwyn.
I’ve been used to humongous refrigerators in un-named country where anything below 600 l is not enough.
