Value for Money Phone

WELL Well, I was always apprehensive about those low cost, feature punched mobile handsets but yet I took a gamble by purchasing this set. It was meant for my father who only use it to make and receive call. So I could have gone with Nokia’s low cost handset but decided against it as my experience is not good. First of all I decided to buy this one as it has everything Videocon can offer. I will review it in details.

[#] Build: Well the build quality of this set is proportional to the cost of the set. So its all plastic and is not so robust. One cannot expect a armoured set at Rs.2700. So be careful not to drop it frequently. The keypad is all plastic and is big and not so hard.

[#] Display: The display is big and good but company should have provided some good wallpaper with it.

[#] Dual Sim: The set comes with Dual sim feature, one can insert both sim but when one sim is active or one is making or getting call in it the other sim is automatically switched off but there is a facility to divert other sim’s call to the active one.

[#] FM Radio: This is the 2nd best part of the set, it has wireless, antenna less FM. but everytime one has to enter menu and change channel.FM recording can also be done and I did it and its excellent.

[#] Camera: The camera is a VGA once and to me is very ordinary.

[#] Bluetooth: The set is packed with Bluetooth 2.0 and again its slow when transferring files but is ok with comparison to its price.

[#] Phonebook: It has 1000 phonebook memory.

[#] Sound: The set have two speakers in its rare so the sound is super loud but the Quality or Depth in the Sound is missing. The MP3 player is good.

[#] Battery: This is the best part of this set, it has 1800 Mah super long battery which last for 10 days without playing FM or MP3.

[#] Torch: It has Dual LED torch but it is not as bright as my Single LED Nokia’s torch. The good part is it has a seperate key for it.

[#] Memory Card Slot: It has 8 GB expandable micro SD slot but the most bad thing is that the memory card cannot be accessed via Computer. Only way to transfer data is to take it out and connect to a Memory Card writer. This is bad considering everytime the card it to be removed physically.

[#] Conclusion: If someone want to compromise the Camera and go for an All-Rounder Mobile set with Strong Battery Life, this one is perfect.
