I am forced to write a review on Videocone V1655 only because I am fed up of this mobile. It has been around 20 days since I wasted my 5400 Rs. on purchasing this mobile phone. Exactly after 1 week of the purchase, this mobile’s touch-screen stopped working. I was paralysed since you can not dial any number without the touch-screen feature. Every morning, I was literally abusing myself because whenever my alarm at 5:30 rung, I wasn’t able to mute my cell phone’s volume (because you can only do it by sliding the cursor to right side) since touchscreen didn’t work.
I went to Videcon’s store from where I purchased it (Planet Retail, in Noida). They said they will get a no objection certificate from their service centre and then only it could be replaced. After 2-3 days I got a new piece of same model. I thought I was lucky to get a new one. However, that was not the case.
After second week, the touchscreen again started showing vague problems. When I try to type any message or assign a name to save a number, its alphabets does not let me type the correct name/words. For example, If I try to type "wasif" it will end up with a word like "esog". That means, instead of accepting the pressed letter, it will end up with the right hand side letter. Sometimes, it gets worse and touchsreen does not work only when I try to press it hardly then it works.
Its earphones does not work properly too, you will hardly hear a clear sound through it. Please guys do never ever even think to purchase this piece.
