I bought the VAL233i refrigerator in April from Girias near Kalyan Nagar, Bangalore. I had no plans to buy a 3 star BEE rated refrigerator but the sales guy coerced me to buying this.
To start with - The good part - I would say that this refrigerator has got good looks. The color of the doors are good with inox hairline grey color. The cooling section has LED lamps and got toughened glass shelves which gives it a new look. The compartments are spacious and we can stuff items required for a pretty big family. The freezer compartment also is spacious but does not have any lighting. Also they say that stabilizer is not required but as I do not trust BESCOM, I have bought a stabilizer for the unit.
The bad part - The refrigerator consumes a lot of power (Approx 615 units per year). The BEE rating is 3. It is good to go for something with 5 rating. The bottle holders are very delicate and there is a chance that it can break easily.
As I told above, I bought it from Girias. I feel that they are also less professional. There was an offer of Innovative film city coupons for four people along with the refrigerator but they provided me a refrigerator stand free worth 300/- instead. Also they couldn’t provide home delivery due to which I had to shell out another 200/- to get the item to my home which was within 5kms from their store. I will not be buying any items from Girias anymore.
