Please Do not buy Videocon refrigerators. After sale service is very poor. Videocon is cheating customers . The company is not worth functioning in India. I purchased a Videocon refrigerator which worked for one year.
Thereafter its compressor stopped working. Since 5 years guarantee was given by Videocon, I called on Videocon toll free number.
But I could not be connected as the number is not accessible through My BSNL Number and Airtel number. then I went a Coin box and booked the complaint.
After 5 months An executive came to my home after frequent followups (nearly 20 time I called) and checked the fridge and told me that gas is to be filled which costs Rs.1200. after filling gas he told me not switch on the fridge for one hour and took Rs. 1200 and left.
After 2 hours my wife switched on the fridge and she got very strong electric shock. If the fridge is touched by small a small child she could have died.
Immediately I called the executive and told what happened. after 1 week, he came to my home and checked the fridge and told me that compressor is not working. he told me that as guarantee is there for 5 years, he would replace the compressor.
Till now, after expiry of one year also he has not turned up. he took Rs 1200/- for nothing. I called to customer care several hundred times but there is no use.
Hence, I request everybody not to buy Videocon fridge and any other product of Videocon.
