VC 1605 Review

I picked this phone from Planet M in Bangalore and the first thing the Sales Rep told me was if I found any defect I should directly go to the Videocon Service center and not come to Planet M, that for me say a lot about the quality of the phone and the confidence that the sales rep has on the product.

V1605 is a dual Sim QWERTY keyboard phone, it looks very neat and stylish, the menu items are very neatly arranged and all the important shortcuts given on the wallpapers.

The key are sufficiently big to create message and the layout seems fine. The phone is handy and sits comfortably in the pocket.

Now for the cons. The network is a big problem, before using this phone I used to use Nokia N70 for GSM and some local reliance phone for reliance and I was very happy with the network.

But now I experience network problem with both the sim in my house and elsewhere, if somebody calls me I have to rush out with the phone, even when you have the network, you and the caller have to put extra effort to listen to each other. The manufacturing quality of the phone is very cheap.

After opening the phone for the first time I am not able to put the phone together as the battery lid is flipping on its own, the clips are very shallow and made up of very cheap quality. There is no memory card free with this model and the internal memory is very limited.

The camera is bad and so are the rest of the accessories and items. Overall a very bad phone. I would not recommend this phone to anybody else.

Thumbs down for the phone.
