My friend bought this monitor in April 2007 in Noida . Within a month, the monitor stops displaying any data. After Numerous calls, finally after 2 week an executive arrives with a screw driver( Why cant the field engineers in India be more armed with debugging equipment!!!!!).
The person guesses some fault in the panel board leading to disruption in signal transmission. Outcome of Diagnosis: He is not the right person to handle the issue.
After further torturous calls, customer care asks us to get the monitor to their workplace in weekdays. Being working, its not possible to get there and we ask the officials about all the services they had promised. Another one week, and some person comes and collects the monitor. Waiting period commences.
After another series of calls, atleast someone tells that they dont have the parts to replace/fix it. We ask for replacing with a fresh one, but model is out of stock too.
Again another serious of mails and calls to top branch, we finally get a new monitor(same model) by July. Thats little over 2 months ....
ViewSonic had earned great respect for its reliable monitors and spot service. But With this model and India Service centre at Noida , they are losing it.
Monitors are the least susceptible to faults, and even a single fault is not desirable.
