We bought this 22" Viewsonic VX2233wm October 2009, for Rs 9000+tax from SP road, Ankit Computers.
It has a DVI port as well as VGA port. If your computer has a DVI port it is better to use that to connect it to this monitor, as this is digital. The DVI cable is supplied with the monitor.
This is the best LCD I have ever seen, in terms of sharpness and resolution. It is 1080p(1920 x 1080), hence can play full HD movie clips, full screen with no scaling.
This is low power, 50W compared to CRTs which usually take 100+ watts and occupy a ton of space!
As all LCD’s this one is slim and most floor area is taken up only by the stand. The stand is detachable. However a wall mounting bracket needs to begot separately, if we want to mount it on the wall.
One important feature missing is the vertical twist(to turn it by 90Degree to make it vertical for seeing photos which are of portrait format). This monitor does not allow this feature.
The viewing angle is not that great, although good, neither is the color very accurate(over saturated somewhat).
The worst part is a set of inbuilt speakers which comes "free" with it. The sound quality is pathetic on these, they should have just not bothered to put them. I wasnt expecting a monitor to come with speakers anyway, so no complaints.
The user interface is not so good either, as the buttons are hidden an non intuitive.
It has 5ms refresh times, hence the movements look fairly OK and ghost free, although I do not use it for movie viewing.
Overall I would rate this very good for its sharpness.
