We flew Virgin from Delhi to London in April-May 07, and our first reactions was that it was ok. Maybe we need to fly more to judge better.The check-in was smooth - we had no problems with the luggage weight.The queue at the boarding gate was a chaos - but I guess it happens with every airline.The meals came later that we thought and we had to sit hungry for some time.The air hostesses were friendly enough, but they can improve a lot.The loos were small - similar to the domestic Indian flights - but it was ok.Our main concern was that one of our seatback TVs was not working.
After repeated requests by us and multiple resets by them, it still did not work.Another funny thing that happened (literally) was that the steward who was giving the announcements in Hindi was really messing it up - he said things like - "daru kum peejiye" - was translating the english announcements word-to-word - hesitating at every sentence - was causing all round laughter.But overall, it was fine. Maybe if we fly British Airways or Emirates next, we would know the real value.
