Worth a Watch

Don’t Miss the Beginning .....The opening scene shows a Police Inspector (Sachin Khedekar) making an entry into the Police station where he is the In-Charge Officer.

As he walks in he is saluted by his constables and it gives the Image that he is a man to reckon with and is Highly respected within the Police force. On his entry he is told that one of his prisoners, Vidhyadhar Patwardhan(Amitabh Bachchan) is not eating.

On hearing the same he walks in to the cell in an angry mood where his prisoner Vidhyadharan is seated in front of a plate of food which is covered with another plate with a rye smile on his face.

One look at Vidhyadhar and the Police inspector seems aghast.

He tells Vidhyadhar not to stare at him in such a manner as it seems to him as if he is being mocked.

He tells Vidhyadhar that even with his uniform on he feels as if he was standing without any clothes whenever Vidhaydhar looks at him this way.

The reason why he feels aghast is that he cannot overcome the fact that a retired Vidhayadhar has done his job.

What the law or any police inspector did not do, due to pressures from Higher authorities who were trying to suppress the matter-Vidhyadhar did by himself and even at his age leaving the inspector feeling impotent.

Vidhyadhar’s Son (actor John Abraham) plays the narrator of this story(He is shown as a spirit in long white kurtaas as he is supposed to be dead) where his father fights for justice to book the culprits who had shot dead his only son when he was trying to nab the son of a minister who shot a women in front of him.

The Minister’s son after shooting the woman tries to escape while Vidhyadhar’s Son tries to prevent him and in the process gets shot.

As the Culprit is a Minster’s son it is difficult for Vidhyadhar to get justice as the police are also helpless.

The story shows how Vidhyadhar overcomes his circumstances and in the end manages to get justice for his dead son.

Good Performances from Amitabh Bachchan, John Abraham, Anusha Dandekar(The British National who marries John and has surely made a good debut), Sharmila Tagore as the retired principal and wife of Vidhyadhar.

Sanjay Dutt has a small role and is as his usual entertaining self.

Overall This Movies is definitely worth watching.
