Vishwakarma Institute of Information Technology(VIIT) is located far from the city, in a remote area - Kondhwa, a far off sub-urban locality of South-West Pune. The accessibility is not good and most of the students either reach there by their own vehicle or stay in the hostel. the college was started in 2002 bt yet not itz contruction is finished.Crowd is decent, but few students complain of the uppish crowd having attitude problems. Vishwakarma Institute of Information Technology(VIIT) being remotely located attracts a good number of students from semi-urban areas, but since it is part of the same group as VIT, it doesn’t lag behind in pulling some city dwellers as well.Hangouts:
Step outside the campus and you’ll first have to pass through a tiny hamlet to get to the main road, which, by the way, still isn’t your destination. Students can often be found at City pride at Satara road, McDonalds, or Fame all of which are a good 5-8 kms away. Varsha is popular for smokes, just as Kalubhai is famous for vada pav. Those who hate to travelling much can just chill at the Nescafe outlet inside the campus.
Although the canteen is newly built, it is neither spacious nor very good. Food is average, but the prices are quite high.
