Bought a SX4 recently . The vehicle is fine . The experience with Vitesse however was no good .
They seem to sell on the basis on the brand value of Maruti rather than service .
The salesguy said the whole process would take 7 days . It eventally took 14 days . The only thing that Vitesse is prompt about is collecting cheques .
At first the Vitesse sales guy campaigned for ICICI car finance . We were ok with it . For 4 days(after Vitesse collected intial down payment) there was no call at all . After reminders we found another bank calling . We asked Vitesse why xyz bank is calling when you said ICICI will handle the car finance . Response was that we have temporarily suspended transactions with ICICI due to some problems .
We found that the list of documents advised by Vitesse was incomplete . The new bank needed additional documents which had to be arranged adding to the delay .
We were to get delivery of the vehicle on a Thursday . Vitesse collected the balance payment cheque on Wednesday . We shifted the date for taking delivery to Saturday as that was an auspicious day . Vitesse therefore got 2 extra days for any process which they may have had to do. On Sat the delivery was scheduled for 11.00 am . We were just leaving from home when the Vitesse salesguy called . I presume he was calling to ask what time we will reach. For a delivery scheduled at 11.00 the sales person was calling at 11 to say that cheque has not been received in their account . Since we had issued it 4 days ago it would have been deducted from your account . But it is not received in Vitesse account . So pl bring a copy of bank statement which shows the debit. Effectively he said that without the statement copy they cannot give delivery of the vehicle as their accounts would not allow them to . My computer was on . Hence I could locate the statement and take a printout .
A vehicle purchase in any country is a high value purchase that has significance for the purchaser .It was appalling to see that this dealer had not bothered to do any arrangements to ensure that all matters are in place for the delivery. At the very least they could have called on the earlier day rather than on the date and time of the scheduled delivery .
The Manager at Vitesse Link Road too had no apology for the problems created by them . It was not surprising that salesperson there had a superficial and customer insensitive approach . There is no role model he has in the Manager .
As we were leaving(surprisingly) the salesperson came and requested if I can wait for a few mins to meet their Sales Head . Turned out that he was on a visit and had asked for meet customers taking vehicle delivery . I explained the issues we faced . He tried to rationalise it saying their bank
(Bank of Mysore) is a problem etc . We explained to him that issue is not with any bank . It is the attitude of Vitesse .
I would recommend the vehicle SX4 . But not the dealer Vitesse . They dont understand customer service at all .
