Both myself and my wife are working and being a nuclear family in Bangalore, with no help in hand, we were vry particular in searching for a reliable montessori cum day care for our 1.5 year old son. This was in May-June 2007.
We considered several options and considerations were mainly on care and hygene. We zeroed in on Vivaa based on collegue feedback as well as talking to parents + visiting the school. Since my sis in law was in the print media, we also could get pretty good information.
Initial 3 months of Vivaa made us nervous, our son didnt want to go to school. He used to create tantrums and every morning left us a nervous wreck. I am glad we took the school authorities advice and continued with the exercise. 1.2 years later, today he goes to school every morning - happily. He has progressed well and I have little to complain about.
He does fall sick with cold and fever - quite often, but I guess that is to be expected when so many kids are spending so much time together.Overall my experience has been good.
