The first time I watches vivaah’s preview on t.v ...i knew I just had to watch this movie.....hence I did...and it managed to sway my heart away without doubt....here is my experience of going through this journey from engagement to marriage nd infact beyond....
vivaah is a story of no boy ..no girl...nothing ...its just a movie showing how "vivaah"...marriage should be taken as in......what is vivaah in its true sense....now this is no doubt a very self explanatory term.....yet I feel the movie has thrown light on it very beautifully and people today should view marriage as....just as shown in the movie.
The movie shows ....a boy from a rich yet down to earth family ’s marriage is arranged to a girl from a small town girl...who is simple, sweet and nice.....and from there their journey begins.....
The best part of the movie is that it doesnt entertain or promotes any other concept other than "vivaah" as in.....salaam namaste shows the concept of live-in relationships...then KANK shows the concept of ..falling in love after marriage....and like that every movie nowdays revolves around sm new emerging concept in the society and overlooks the roots of our culture....
but vivaah......mannn....the dialogues are heart touching and true....like when anupam kher, father of the groom in d movie tells him.....why he should marry in a particular age and that it does not matter whthr the girl is from small town and so on....
The movie has not shown any relisgion...caste ....rich-poor differences and etc......which is very good indeed....coz actually these things should not be a consideration at all....
the movie shows.....its important to be a good person at heart in life.....rest all is fake and nothing else needs attention at all......especially whn it comes to getting into a marriage.....!!! and when you are the boy’s family then.....rather than being arrogant...be nicer.....!!
The kind of relationships between...husband-wife...mother-stepdaughter...father nd sons...n every bond they hv shown.....to some people may seem to be tooo good to be true....but thats the way it should be.....everyone should look into themselves and go through their own human revolution and become like characters of this movie...hehehehe just become ...more human....!!!
vivaah shows that marriage is accepting people.....enlarging your family.....marriage is loving....loving your life partner ....loving their family... loving all ....vivaah shows ......that its more important to choose a life partner whom you can share your life with ...family with....who makes you grow....grow better and better as a person.....rather than which community....how rich....how hot...which language .....kitna dahej kaunsi car....how this how dat....naaaa..dats not required....
vivaah....apart from an entertainment movie ....i feel.....sends a serious message across regarding marriages.....if media has an effect on us....then movies like vivaah ...must be watched by all ......
welll now I can go on and on....but .....you must watch the movie.....even if you already have then I would still say....watch again....this time... only with the aim of rediscovering the meaning of "vivaah" .....
