I wanted to buy a washing machine around August 2009. I searched online for a bunch of stores which would sell me washing machines from Indiranagar.
I found a few stores all on 100 feet road in Indiranagar. I went through all the stores and looked at their inventory. I got information from all the salesmen and the product catalogues.
Vivek’s has a good collection in their inventory, though nothing exceptional. The other stores were also about the same. The pricing was also almost the same. The only noteworthy exception was an additional year of warranty on the product which was offered by Vivek(though I have not had the chance to evaluate the quality of that service). Delivery and installation was on time and convenient to arrange.
Basically all the stores were about the same, though Vivek’s was slightly better. One thing I liked about Vivek was their website, which had a good description of things and an intuitive way of comparing items. This is where I had done 90% of my research.
