No one can think about it around a year ago, but now its 2017. Ok, I know the trend is going just for selfie.but now in 2017 how? How vivo can expect that people will buy their phone just for selfie with a price tag of 18, 000 rupees in this current competitive market. Ohh! Come on vivo wake up.in this price we expect more from you there were many powerful smartphones in under 15, 000 rupees, then why we will buy yours. Before strating the review I wanted to tell you guyz that one of my close friend bought this smartphone 5 months ago and I am writing this review in his opinion, so.lets get started.
Lets start with the design.
1) BUILD AND DESIGN ?? when you look at the phone first tou can easily guess that the phone looks like an I phone 6, yess you are right they had copied the design from I phone 6. Its not just similar it was the same with an same interface. The similarities like the curved edges, golden ring around the fingerprint sensor, antenna lines its almost similar to the iphone 6. Still few things to talk about like the massive 5.5 inch 2.5D curved display and the corning gorilla glass enhance the touch experience. The rear is made of metal and its matte finished so that the phone really feels premium in hand. It has curve on the side edges so that the phone really feels compact and handy, but what we can expect from a copied smartphone design and build its just average.i would like to give 7/10 in terms of build and design.
2) DISPLAY ?? the v5s display can be put on the both side of the scale. The phone comes with an 720P IPS LCD display, which is quite good as they provide us. The display looks good in indoor and outdoor situation the colours are also good compare to the f1s. But still it sometimes lag while playing high end games or videos. Dont forget that in this cureent market at a price of 18, 000 we can expect a FUL HD display( 1920×1080) . But it was a dissapointment for us. Again 7/10 in terms of display.
3) CAMERA AND BATTERY?? SO, when it comes to camera I see the only reason to buy this smartphone in this current competitive market. So the device comes with an 20MP massive selfie camera like the f1s and thats it. So vivo think that 2017 peoples are crazy for selfie and they dont need anything more in a smartphone. Good to say tha front camera really performs well in any condition. But sometimes in the low light situation the photos comes blurry and shaky just because of the OIS ( OPTICAL IMAGE STABILISATION) system. If you dont have a still hand while taking selfies it may dissapoint you. But the 13MP rear camera is just a TRASH. It cant catch much details in the photos as compare to the f1s, and the low photo quality is just a nightmare. So it becomes a selfie phone. again dissapointment. 7/10 in terms of camera. The main reason to not buy this phone is the battery life . The phone comes with just 3000 mah, I dont know how they manage it with an 5.5 inch display. As expected it drains so fast while playing videos and high end games. If you are a heavy user who connect everytime with internate and browse all the time definitely you shouldnt go for it. After a month it will be problem to you for the batterylife. 7.0/10 in terms of battery life.
4) PERFORMANCE?? vivo v5 is not the best phone to buy in this current market.it runs with an mediatek octacore processor which clocks with an slow 1.5 ghz of speed. It is an old chipset that made with an 28nm process. There were many smartphones which are cheaper and more powerfull than this smartphone. It has a 4 GB of which is useless just because of the software management and the cheapset. It has a 32 GB of internal storage which is decent in this price. If you are a heavy user and you like to play high end video games, videos and connect to the Internet all the time it will dissapoint you the graphics lags so much, the heat generation is too much its also a problem. 7.5/10 in terms of performance.
5) VALUE FOR MONEY ?? in this price the features vivo pride us is not enough, there were so many powerfull smartphones in the market, if you are a normal user with lime to take selfies and can manage with decent battery life you can go for it. But if you are a heavy user it doesnt make sence to buy this smartphone. Thank you,
