Basically both are video players created for android devices.But even though vlc have a desktop version it cant fullfill all the needs of a android mobile or tablet users.VLC lacks the function of drag and forward and drag and control volume amd brightness.
Moreover VLC for Android has no auto adjusting screen resolution system.for each video user should manually adjust the resolution suitable.
