Laser hair removal is as u all must be knowing is getting rid of unwanted hair through laser.
Vlcc and many others like Kaya etc are offering the same service. I had some hard hair growth on my chin, so in 2004 i thought of joining VLCC to get rid of only those hair. When I went thr, they made me feel that I have a lot of hair on my jaw line and side locks too and I went for side locks chin and jaw line area and they charged me around Rs17000 for that. At that time they were using Epilight technique and gave me 1st sitting. What they used to do is, first they treat the area using epilight machine and then next day they remove the hair by threading. But after few sittings, there was not much difference.
Then they changed the machine and opted for laser in their center without any prior notice and that was ND-YAG laser and gave me few sittings of that laser and after few sittings again I found the laser changed. On asking they said its sheer diode now and its much better. In this treatment what they do is first remove all the hair from the surface using razor and then treat the region. Now, due to razor the nearby hair which are not being treated also get cut and start becoming harder. So after I think more then 25 sittings in total and more then 15 sittings of diode I still have hair on that region and I say now althogh chin region is not that hard but rest of the hair which was earlier light now have become quite hard.
Now nearby hair have also become hard due to rezor so I have no other option left then to go for whole face treatment and had to pay them 13000. From my experience I can say that once they get there money they are least bothered about the result. If the results are not effective then they blame u only for having some harmonal imbalance, which they never mention while taking the money.
So my advice is dont go for laser unless u have a lot of hair that cannot be hidden by bleach. If possible go only for full face only otherwise the nearby hair which were not being treated may get cut some way and become harder in course of time. For full face maximum of 30, 000 can be charged. At vlcc the price depends all on how you bargain. If u r good enough in bargaining then u can get full face treated in 21 to 22000 only.
Before starting the treatment do discuss about the number of sitting and if possible get everything in written from them.
