I purchased one USB VOdafone 3G data card(Rs.1600/-) on 11 Dec.2010.
I was shocked with the download /upload speed. Max. speed(DL) you will get is 4-5 Kbps, similar to dail up connections used in late 90’s. It took 3 hours to download one pdf file(size 6.5 mb only). Automatically gets disconnected. I am using it at Gurgaon. Sometime shows no signal. Really pathetic. Never tried it on roaming.
Vodafone is in there initial phase to built there network. They are talking about 3G and are not able to deliver even braodband speed.
You can go for Reliance/Tata/MTNL broadband or 3G at same price or slightly higher price but surely with much better speed.
One of my friend is also facing the same issues in Delhi only. He is trying to get the refund for this 3G data card.
Complete waste of money and time.
