We are having a prepaid connection of Vodafone since last many years. We find that every year by hook or crook some abrupt charges are deducted from prepaid balance in the name of value added services. The website doesnt have an option to lodge a complaint. Even worst is their IVRS. It practically doesnt allow the customer to talk to the call centre executive. By any chance if you happen to get through an option to talk to the exec, they levy charges for talking to them.
In these days of intense of competition & thin bottom lines, i feel that these companies are surviving on revenues in the name of value added services or by abrupt deduction from prepaid balance or levying unwanted items in postpaid accounts. If the customer is strong enough to object & keep pursuing for the unwarranted charges then they are refunded else it is absorbed very easily.
Even bad is an unwarranted services which are chargeable are started by pressing a finger tip. At the same time for redressal/ discontinuation of the same we are told to visit galleries & Vodafone store etc......
Thus we customers are taken for a ride.
