Last year I got my mobile number ported to Vodafone Postpaid when I shifted from Delhi to Pune.
Earlier I had been using that number in Airtel since a long time.
I bought a corporate plan in Pune.
But few days back, I returned to Delhi and wanted to port out of Vodafone because its 3G network here in Delhi was very bad. I could hardly use the data either at my home or office.
But the problem doesnt end here.
The real problem began when I requested to port out of Vodafone. I went to the customer care executive multiple times but they always had only one reply that my number is a corporate number and they cant help me in any way. I was amazed to hear this because I had just bought a corporate plan and never bought or shifted to a corporate number. I dont know how they made my number corporate.
And because of that, they kept on saying that I would have to get NOC from my company by going back to Pune. And get the NOC from the Vodafone in charge of my company in Pune.
I asked them for the way out but they didnt help me. What sense did it make to go back to Pune from Delhi to get my number ported out of Vodafone. I even requested them to convert it into Vodafone Delhi so that I could avoid the roaming bills but they didnt cooperated.
No mobile service operator provided such a bad experience to me and finally I had to get my long time number blocked because I had to pay huge roaming bills.
