I have been an avid vodafone customer, since the early days of Hutch to the current zu-zu days. I have used vodafone in NCR, Pune, Mumbai. Like most people these days I have multiple service providers and phones. And, when you have more than one device/mobile phone it becomes clear if one service sucks more than the other. Thats been the case with Vodafone.
In the last few years, Vodafone Signal strength stability has been horrendous. When you are on a call - the signal strength drops suddenly to zero-bars and you end up having an annoying conversation with the other party. I dont know, whats the issue with the Vodafone network. Is it poor infrastructure that they have, or if they have overloaded cell sites.
Not just the voice quality, the so called 3-G services are a big sham. You barely get speeds of 28kbps, if you are lucky. I have used mobile phones in many places around the world, and when you have such poor quality of the basic voice calling you are left wondering that the prudence for such extravagant zu-zu campaigns.
I am disappointed, Vodafone. But then there isnt much choice for the Indian customer I guess when most other mobile operators are equally bad. You are left wanting for choices.
